If you are a bird enthusiast and care about the species like we do, you can really help us to make a difference to improve their lives. By sponsoring a bird at the National Birds of Prey Centre you could make your visit more worthwhile. Not only will it help the wide range of birds at the centre, but it is also a fun way to learn about these magnificent creatures.
What does it mean to be a sponsor?
From being a sponsor of a bird at the centre, you will help us to provide food for the animals. You will also help to cover the veterinary bills, which will keep the animals fit and healthy. With over 170 birds at the centre, the costs can be extortionate to ensure that each and every animal is well cared for.
That is why these valuable sponsorships are greatly appreciated by the birds and also the centre. It allows us to free up funds to help maintain the centre and provide financial support for medication and specialised diets for the animals. Additionally, each year we receive between 50 and 100 injured birds. These sponsorships allow us to continue to help injured wildlife and rehabilitate them. Without sponsorships, we wouldn’t be able to help as many birds.
Who can sponsor?
Anyone can become a sponsor of one of our birds of prey. Whether it is you, your company, your friendship group or a club that you belong to, anyone can help to make a difference. All you have to do is select which bird you would like to sponsor and let us know by contacting the centre.
What do I receive?
We are so grateful that you are considering sponsoring a bird at The National Birds of Prey Centre. In return, we would love to give you the following things as a token of our appreciation for your support. You will receive a certificate and photograph of the bird you have sponsored, one free admission ticket to the centre to use as often as you like, and NBPC newsletters to keep you updated with the latest information.
Additionally, you may have the chance to name your own bird. If the bird does not have a name when you sponsor it, you can give a name as long as it matches the current years theme!
What birds can I sponsor?
The centre has over 150 birds for you to choose from for your sponsorship. Some of these birds have been injured, rescued and now sadly cannot be released. These are the types of birds that need a friend like you!
All the money that is received through sponsorships is directed toward helping these birds in need. Unfortunately, we do not have funding available to help these birds and so rely entirely on the generosity of the public. If you would like to find out more information about sponsoring a bird of prey or any other ways that you could help the centre, then give us a call on +44 (0)870 990 1992 or stop by for a visit at the centre.
